CampusWatch – a Higher Education derivative of the better known “Homewatch” or “Neighbourhoodwatch” has come to the University of Salford campus and is now fully operational.

This is a partnership formed between Greater Manchester Police (GMP), British Transport Police (BTP), the Salford City Council Crime and Safety Unit and the University and is the first to be set up within Greater Manchester and the immediate surrounding area.

It brings the total security and safety of the campus and those who live, work and study on it, to a new level.  Not only the formal security service provided by the University of Salford and backed up by Greater Manchester Police, but a new involvement by both staff and students on campus, to ensure greater security for people and property.

Make use of our free bus service and look out for the CampusWatch signs around the University.
